A Cultural Anatomy of Women's Bodybuilding (Rutgers), and the
forthcoming sports memoir Pretty
Good for a Girl (September 1998, The Free Press / Simon &
Schuster). She writes widely on issues of gender, women, popular
culture, and sport, and is an assistant professor of English at the
State University of New York, Binghamton where she teaches cultural and
sports studies, twentieth century literature and theory, and creative
writing.
