What is your career?

I have been a member here for a while and I feel like I have met some great people through this forum. Like some of the other off topic threads I was just wondering what everyone does for career.

Ill myself am 27. I am a Personal Banker and I invest into properties on the side.

I'm a soph in college, and I am in the ROTC program, so I will be an Army officer when I get out. Hoping to get into the Aviation branch, or another combat arms branch.

This should be moved to the General Training board...

Anyways, I am currently a Junior at the Pennsylvania State University. I am going for a degree in Mathematics (Actuarial Sciences option) with a double minor in Business and Statistics. I am not totally sure what I will be doing when I graduate as I am new to actuarial & business studies (former engineering major.)

Great idea for a thread Joe - and we should probably put our heads together because I'm an independent financial adviser!

I specialise in working with dentists so if anyone knows any in the UK then let me know! :-D

Goddamn! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! We just had a near-life experience!

I'm 24, a Computer Graphic Designer. I have my degree in design for print. I've worked as a manager/sign designer/fabricator for the last few years, but was just laid off.

I am a computer programmer/analyst; 7 years from retirement.

joke, a pharmaceutical microbiologist at this stage.

Getting rather intrested in the wellness industry and will soon give validation a bash, but not for a boss, rather on my own.

Love HST to bits!

I'm beating Fausto at 40 - 41 this year! Maths grad, now self-employed Graphic Designer - Web design, print design plus some occasional movie/animation work.

I also have rental properties which are my pension!

Thanks to HST, I'm training again and keeping up with a training partner who's 10 years younger. :)

Age 45, Electronics & mechanical engineering back ground.
Started 2 companies & sold them.
First, did installation & service of automatic access control systems. Then sold it.
Second, started a manufacturing company that developed a full product line of access control & automatic gate operating systems. Then sold it 1 year ago.
Currently doing some occasional consulting to the company the bought me out, and managing my investments, etc...
Now waiting for the next big thing (can't wait to see what's next)

Really interesting stuff guys...I thought this thread would be cool.

Starting 2 companys and selling them is awesome.

So is your job Fausto ...really impressive.

As for real estate flipped my first home this year...did really well...so the rental houses Lol interest me as well.

Well, thanks Joe, it can be inetersting alright, just this industry is a real pain in the tutu, full of paperwork and regulations, but the work itself and the decsions one has to make, yeah, those can be a real bang! :D

I think I have learned quite a bit and should soon go on my own...it takes guts though and determination, but so does HST and building the ideal body...so if someone has moved your cheese...chase for a new one...or get yourself a cow and make your own!

All the other jobs posted are just as interesting, including yours, right now in South Africa, real estate is making a killing, just as an example, the house I bought 5 years ago, has but trippled in price, that...I think...is quite good.

Anyway...cheers!
