Best Compound Lifts

Just wondering what the best compound lifts are for each area of the body. I can't handle doing more than six exercises. I get bored with the repetition of lifting. Short and sweet is what I'm going towards. Any suggestions so I can set up a routine?

Here you go, the greatest 6 compound movements of all time (in no particular order):

Barbell Curls
Dumbbell Curls
Cable Curls
Dumbbell Concentration Curls
EZ-Bar Preacher Curls
Cable Supine Curls

I'd have to say that wrist curls come in a very close 7th.

JOKING!!!

Here are the 6 exercises I'm currently doing for my 5x5 routine:

Squat
Deadlift
Bench Press
Military Press
Rows
Chin-Ups

Those 6 are great, and they cover pretty much your entire body. You could add in something specifically for abs if you want. You could also substitute in dips, incline bench press, front squats, any deadlift variation, and [others].

Alternatively, you could use the Olympic lifts and maybe one or two other movements.

Deads
Dips
BB Rows
Squats
Bench

In that order for me.

Throw chins/military in there if you want a 6th for the sake of it.

Squats/Deads
Dips
Chins
Clean and Press
Incline Curls/OH Db Extensions (not neccessary)
Calf Raises (not neccessary)
Ab work (not neccessary)

That's my routine, the first 4 (5 if you don't count that i alternate squats/deads) are all i think is needed.

I have your back. ;)

Don't understand why anyone wouldn't do clean and press in place of military press. The clean does so much, hitting the traps and back and so on. And the movement itself leads to greater loads than standard military press.
