just had mine done at the doctors they came back as normal 12.5 ...i am 48 this month dont know is that high or low

When you get your test levels checked, you want to get both total and free test checked, and you also need to compare it to the normal range that the lab will give on the report. Results can vary widely based on which lab runs your blood, so they should usually provide their reference range along with your results so you can get a more accurate idea of where you stand.
 
Thought I'd resurrect this post seeing as I just had my test levels done (including other blood work).

Came back with 31.1 nmol/l with the labs normality range of 10-30 (I managed to get a conversion to ng/dL online which works to 836).

Btw, cholesterol was 3.4 which the doc says is very good. (triglycerides:0.8, HDL:1, LDL:2).
