Adding weight to pulleys

For pulley-ran machines such as standing calf raises, leg extensions/curls, machine crunches, and the entire cable-row centers or whatever you call them...

How do yins add more weight? Do you bring chains or rope??

I enjoy the fact that I am asking this question!

Not sure if this is what you are asking, but I add more weight to machines by grabbing a pin from another stack and then taking a regular round plate (25/25/45) and put the extra pin up at the top of the stack and then hang the round weight off of the extra pin.


NOTE: use extra caution with this method - dont want that extra plate falling off the machine stack and squahing someone's foot.
 
This is what I do as well, TJ... I place 5 plates on standing machine donkey press and this seems to work well.
