Any thoughts of combining hst training with more of a dual theory type program? combining the increased intensity in terms of both volume and 1rm range with periods of dropping back to lower volume . ie..I currently follow a steve reeves type routine and add weight and slowly add volume for 3-4 weeks and then back off for a week or 10 days of active rest then start again at a lower rep range..ie 4-6 instead of 10 to 12? slowly adding weight and dropping weights in a 5 percent solution type modality in each rep range9borrowed from poliquin) works well for me.
