Psyllium husks as a fat absorber

I've read several times that Psyllium husks can be used to prevent fats from being digested. I know that this can be a bad thing as fats are important, but it might be useful before a binge meal that is very heavy in fats.

I did some research, but did not uncover much information. I've got a number of questions I'm trying to answer.

a) Is it true ? Does psyllium husk really absorb fats ? As there studies that show this ?
b) Do you have to mix the husks up with your meal, or is it OK to have them before the meal ?
c) If you have them before the meal, how long before ?
d) How much husks absorbs how much fat ?

I did find some research on adding psyllium husks to a meal and the effect on glycemic index. Apparently it only worked if you mixed the psyllium with the meal.

Question c) is interesting if you use psyllium for other purposes. Would this prevent you absorbing good fats some time later (1 hour?)

Actually, the research DOES show that some of them work at reducing uptake of fat-soluable vitamins. They just don't seem to work at making a difference in trying to lose weight.

Double whammy.
