Work for or against...

...gains? When maxing on 5's we are told to do them M-W-F. However I feel after 3 or 4 weeks of 5's that I need an extra day of rest in between workouts.
So my question is does the extra day off work for or aginst max gains???

if you feel you need it,you need it.

you wouldnt want to overtrain or go too heavy and spoil the cycle.just listen to your body and it will steer you in the right direction.ive never had extra days off but if i go too far i make sure i recover first,this way i avoid injuries.

What does your workout look like?

Just asking because that may be the cause, even though I myself train only two days p/week.
