Would you rather have poor sleep before a work-out day or after?
Due to my schedule, on some nights i can only get about 3-4 hours of sleep.
So, i was wondering, if i know beforehand that i won't be able to get much sleep one night, should i adjust my work out schedule so that i skip the workout before that night or the work out after that night (and no, i cannot just skip both days and have two straight days of not exercising, because this scheduling of mine happens to me a lot and if i did that, i wouldn't be able to exercise ever)?
In other words, is it worse to have poor sleep on the night before a work out or the night after it?
My guess is it worse to have poor sleep the night after a work out. That is when our bodies reap the benefits of a work out.

Not a scientific answer here, but based on my experience I’d rather get good sleep after the workout than before.
