Triceps pushdowns

What would recammend I use. Either a straight bar or the rope.

I was thinking of changing to the rope as I get pains in my elbows when I use the bar.
 
Hi. Cheers. I started them today. My elbows feel fine when I perform this excercise. Gives a better pump to my triceps aswell over the bar.
 
z-bars are good if you can attach one,i used tricep push downs and found that by altering my hand position caused less stress,but i dont use them now anyway.
 
If you are already doing dips in your routine, it might be better to add some kind of triceps extension where the weight is lowered from an arms overhead position, keeping elbows high and back (lean your head forward). Gives a good stretch in the lowered position. You can use a db or an ez-curl bar.
