Anyone tried Phaseolus vulgaris?

I've read that white kidney bean extract (phaseoulus vulgaris) in a 4000-6000 gram dosage can bond to polysaccharide carbohydrates if taken 30 minutes before a meal causing up to 60% of the starches to pass through the digestive tract without being absorbed. Is there any truth to this study? Anybody tried this supplement? They say it only works with the complex starches such as potatoes, rice, pasta, oatmeal, etc. Could this supplement be the answer to all those carb-o-holics/gluttonist prayers?
