bodyfat question

Hi. I'm not sure the best forum for this topic, so I decided to try here.

I had my bodyfat tested today. Total BF 12.8%; Core BF 25%. Could anyone supply feedback on the significance of the Core BF % in particular? Why are my 2 #'s so far apart?
 What Core BF % should I be aiming for?

Thanks,
smf

I have heard some trainers call the Core BF% as the percent of total BF carried around your waist (in men) and around the hips (in women). In your case 25% of the 12.8% BF is carried around your waist.

Who or where did you have your BF tested?

Thanks for the replies; they give me some clarification. And it makes sense now that you explain that 25% of the 12.8% is around my midsection. So now my goal is to lower my overall bodyfat and, therefore, lower Core BF through clean eating and building more muscle tissue.

Dan,

I had my BF tested by the owner of my gym using skinfold calipers and a bioelectrical impedance analysis scale.
