Dropsets during negatives fortnight

My bad if this question has been asked and answered somewhere...............

The dropset concept makes sense during the two weeks of 5's. But for the next two weeks we are doing negatives. The question is, in theory you cannot dropset a negative because you would be decreasing the weight of the exercise and thus defeat the purpose of the negative. Thus would you do the negative and then dropset the regular movement?

For example.

Exercise during a Negatives Week.

Working Out alone:

Military Press Machine

2 arm concentric movement lift, one arm negative down.
95 lbs

then proceed to dropset .............

dropsets 2 arms 95lb(5 reps),75lb(7 reps),50lb(8reps)
(this is the regular movement of both up and down, concentric and eccentric)

is that how I incorporate dropsets into the negatives weeks?

As you have already suggested yourself, you can use negatives for your work sets and regular reps for your drop sets. After all, the purpose of the drop sets is to increase the total work done and create hypoxia.
