Been scouring the earth for maltodextrin powder to add to my post workout drinks, and so I bought some powdered corn syrup from a home brew store. Is this stuff the same as maltodextrin under another name? (google isn't giving me a clear answer)

I use a 50% dextrose and 50% corn syrup blend of my own creation at the moment.

"Corn syrup: Made from the breakdown of corn starch which is composed of hundreds of connected glucose units. Corn syrup is primarily glucose. Corn syrup can be modified to produce high-fructose corn syrup, which has the identical composition - glucose and fructose - as table sugar (sucrose.)
Maltodextrin: Also made from corn starch, maltodextrin is simply small pieces of easily digestible starch, which is also called glucose polymers. Maltodextrin is mildly sweet."

they seem very similar

Malto's the best carb to consume for rapidly delivering blood glucose & muscle glycogen recovery. It's what I use for the carbs in my pre & post workout shakes.

Now Carbo Gain powder is available from DPS Nutrition. It's flavorless, mixes great. Here's a link.
