    loosing interest

I'm starting my second week of 5's and I'm just getting tired of working out and lifting period. Has anyone else experienced this. I usually SD for 2 weeks between each cycle, but I feel like finishing the negatives then taking a month off or more from lifting anything, maybe just doing a...

    ZMA

I've been taking Zinc, Magnesium, and B vitamins (ZMA) every night for years. I swear it helps raise energy levels and testosterone. Also in the winter months I add Cod Liver Oil (vitamin A & D) to the mix and it takes away the winter hibernation tendencies. Cod Liver Oil needs to be taken...

    Perfect HST routine

Squats don't really do much for my hamstrings but I get quite a pump in them from doing Leg Curls. Therein lies my confusion.

    I'm still confused

"I don't quite get it. So you do a full body workout 3 times a week." So good so far "cycling 15reps one week 10 the next then 5 the next. " 2 weeks each rep scheme, 15 reps 2 weeks, 10 reps 2 weeks, 5 reps 2 weeks "And back to 15." You should do another 2 weeks...

    Perfect HST routine

So based on your workout and the simplicity of it I guess it would be stupid of me to ask how necessary Leg Curls are after doing Squats and Deadlifts? I'm having a hard time eliminating them from the workout but I'm also doubting how effective they really are. Any idea's?

    During Negatives ??

I kept the weight the same on all lifts the first week then increased them the second week only because I felt stronger and had the energy to do it. I did do some light warm up, whole body then a little on each muscle group prior to the negatives. Worked for me... I fell in love with...

Question for veteran lifters only (2 or more yrs)

Omegaman, Here is an Excel file you can download - I use as a log to keep track of days, lifts, weights, body weight etc. Just fill it in as you go. The different sheets are different cycles, all in one file. It also shows the excersices I currently use although not necessarily in that order...

Question for veteran lifters only (2 or more yrs)

Ditto the above 4 posts. Been lifting 3 years seriously, I don't bother looking at other programs anymore. 2 cycles of HST - 5 lbs LBM the first time 5+ the second, after more than a year of trying anything but not gaining.

    Incredible Growth

So there is no harm in doing negatives for 4 weeks straight?

    Incredible Growth

I have one week left of negatives in my current cycle and have been experiencing great gains in bodyweight. A little over a pound a week for the last 4 weeks, with little bodyfat added. This is the first cycle that I've done negatives and I LOVE them. They are definitly worth the hassle of...

    Why 15-10-5 and not 15-13-11-9-7-5?

I've done two HST cycles in the 15-15-10-10-5-5-negs format but will try the 15-13-11-9-7-5 style next. My only question is when doing the older format I max out (to Failure) at the end of every two week rep scheme, how often do you go to Failure with the rep scheme changing every week? Does it...

How long does it REALLY take to get big?

I'll compound the whole lean idea. I tend to stay pretty lean year round, I get down to 5% in the summer and up to, at the most, 12% in the winter. I do get a lot of comments about looking big but in reality I'm only 170 lbs and 5'10" tall. I've never looked at myself as "big&quot...

    Deadlift / Squat frequency

I do Squats and Deadlift on every workout. I can't say I noticed any problems so far (several cycles). I will admit it gets incredibly difficult to finish the 15's when doing both but other than that it hasn't been a big deal. My Squat is weeker so I do that first in the lineup.

    The taste of supplements

Try Creatine Ethyl Ester in pure powder form... without puking. : )

    squats

I liked them at one time, but now that I'm doing ATG squats I dred them. Going to the floor makes them eceptionally brutal. Especially in the 15's, even though I enjoy every excersise in the 5's I still prefer Deadlifts.
