Hi everyone... been a while since I've posted here!
My mom and I were talking about my workouts, and she mentioned that she's been taking a shot of Noni juice in the mornings for energy and to clean her system out.
She says it's absolutely disgusting and makes her want to stay in bed, but that...
dang, wish i woulda seen this thread earlier. woulda loved to meet ya blade
i was there on friday... nothing better than free protein, strongman competition, and hitting on the fitness babes (one of them wanted me to get her saturday and go out saturday night, but i never came back)
Dude, I have nothing to add technically as far as the HST stuff goes, those guys have it down good.
All I'm going to say is that in 3 months, I'm finishing my 5th year at school... I don't know how you need to stay motivated, but STICK WITH IT. If I lifted SERIOUSLY for all 5 years, I'd be much...
I'll go along with Kate's advice. After a back injury, you definitely want to ease into things slowly. Back injuries are not to be messed with.
HST is perfect to ease you in slowly, but I'd go even slower and do what Kate suggests there. After having talked to people with some serious back...
Actually, it's a bit embarrassing!
I am not a really big guy compared to some others, and i kinda don't like sitting there flexing my arms for 30 seconds in the mirror. I try to find ways to change it up and mask it. Hahaha
I like to mess around and flex in the mirror, and was googling for some flexing stuff. I then stumbled on this article from teenbodybuilding.com:
http://www.teenbodybuilding.com/james17.htm
For the past 2 workouts I've done this - I've flexed for 30 seconds after my final set of something, and...
Told you those 15s are crazy. Just had day 3, my legs are very sore. Can't wait for the DOMS 2 days from now (I've been getting delayed soreness lately).
Ian - if HST doesn't work for you, it's almost definitely due to your diet. I've been saying in other threads, I love to log my foods into...
Jens, did you really puke?
I've had some INSANE swimming and weightlifting workouts, and have never thrown up. Came close one time swimming though. That's kind of funny if it's true.
Devient, sounds like you did your homework. Keep us informed on how you do.
Track your changes, and WATCH YOUR CALORIES/PROTEIN!!
If HST is failing you in whatever you're trying to do, it's most likely the diet.
I use http://www.fitday.com to log EVERY SINGLE THING i put into my mouth. Works...
Your body has got to hate you dude. I have no clue since "up the carbs" is what I think you should do.
My only (unwise) suggestion is to drink a caffeinated beverage while lifting. I know, this is terrible advise, but I can't really agree with what you're doing as it is...
If that...
Cycle 6 - Back to the basics, back to the main HST workout on the web page, 3x a week. A SLIGHT cutting cycle.
It will then be interrupted for spring break (a mini SD), and then back to the beginning to do a real cycle 6.
Were you trying to find maxes of 15s, 10s, and 5s for each one? If so, thats 15 different maxes you're going after... quite a bit I must say.
While I think it's cool, if you did that every day you'd hit overtraining quickly. It's probably a good way to give you a jolt every once in a long...
Mishik - most people do a deadlift of some sort. I'm terribly inflexible so I do bent legged deadlifts.
Regardless, definitely do some sort of deadlift if you can. I too consider them the best lift there is, and have lost terrible amounts of strength and size by missing them for a few months...
