Lifting when you are sick?

I am coughing and am very stuffed up. How should I go about my workout routine? Do I stop until I get better? And if so do I start from scratch when I am better? Thoughts would be appreciated. Thank.

I try not to lift when there are problems with the lungs. Sometimes impatience gets the better of me and I'll try a set of squats or something, but it's almost always a bad idea. I know a lot of meatheads swear that working out raises your body temperature and will burn out the illness, but I have to disagree. It's better just to be safe, stay away from the weights and let your body heal.

If you are in the middle of an HST cycle, you could just start over in the rep range you were in, depending on how long you are off. If you are off for more than a week, it may be better to just start over completely.
