My last HST cycle was so-so, because I didn't eat enough ... like a chump I thought I could cut for part of it, then switch to bulking for the latter part. Bad idea. Put on some muscle, but much more fat.

I transitioned into 3x5 strength training, partially due to some advice from here, and I really liked it. Nutrition was good, so was progress. I even experienced some growth.

My plan was to stick with it until I couldn't button my pants anymore, then start cutting, seriously, for several weeks. That plan was going fine, until I caught "The Crud"... you know, cold, runny nose, sore throat, cough...

I'm finding myself several days now without working out, and I'm not sure what ot do when I feel better.

Should I get back into the 3x5, just start with the weight I was lifting a couple weeks ago?

Should I go ahead and start an HST cutting cycle? (even though I'm not as fat as I had planned to get

)

Is there a plan 'C' I might try?

Thanks guys, in advance.

what is your goal?
where do you want to be in, say 2-3 yrs. then work toward that goal and that goal alone for the next yr or two. strength and size go hand in hand together when bulking but continually bulk/cut alternation is and easy way to put in a lot of work and have very little to show for it.

it just seems from your post that your not 100% on what your trying to accomplish, hence all the bulking, cutting, strength prog. all in a matter of weeks/months. personally i would define exactly where im hoping/planning to be in 2-3 yrs. set a few shorter term milestone/goals. plan how to get there both from a w/o and diet perspective. then post your goals and plans and see what everyone thinks.

maybe im way off and you do have a clear idea of what your shooting for..its just not coming thru in this post.

good luck
