Altered Max-Stim

I've been doing 10's and 20's throughout December as a way to get back in shape to do a Max-Stim cycle. I just recently got over the flu and should be good to go in about another week. I am still developing a lot of muscle I previously had, having worked out from the time I was about 12 until I was 20, and now I'm 27. My question is, should I accelerate the Max-Stim protocol and if so, how? At this point I am still seeing "newb gains" - able to add 5 to 15 lbs per workout to most lifts. Max-Stim would have me start low and cycle towards 110% of a given 1 RM over the period of several weeks - fine for an advanced stage lifter. But I can do a 2 x 10 and increase that max by 10% in about a week at my current clip. Dan, if you could give me some advice or write me out an alternate progression and M-time schedule I would much appreciate it.

QP, why not just add 5lbs each session and run with it until you stall out. Linear progression is the fastest route to new mass if you can keep it up. You'll have to eat like a horse too though. It won't last for long so enjoy it while it lasts. I get a buzz if I manage to add 5 or 10lbs to my RMs each cycle!

I might just have to play it by ear.

In the Max-Stim progression you begin to increase M-Time as a way to out run fatigue. You get to use higher poundages but only with increased M-times. This of course makes me wonder if you have really progressed at all. A lifter could increase his work simply by adding weight and increasing rest times. Who needs to cycle up to using a 5 rm for 20 reps with 5 seconds between reps? Couldn't I have just done that in the first place? Quixotic. But I volunteered for it. I think I'll read up on PITT-Force to add some P.O.V. I'm still looking forward to Dan's reply.
