They are not as dangerous generally speaking as most people think they are. Carrying around extra weight, be it fat from overeating or muscle from overeating and steroid use, is not good for your heart long term. The effects of oral steroids on blood pressure and lipids could be harmful in the long run, either in general or at a certain threshold of use. They can vary extremely though person to person, so what's safe for one person might be horrible in an acute if not chronic sense for someone else.

The bottom line is no one knows what the long term effects of use are, and those effects need to be qualified especially regarding the delivery method of the steroid, once they are known. Short term use of extreme amounts could likely have some effects. The short term side effects from regular use of are mostly reversible, and with reagrd to orals how they fit into the context of long term effects is not known. As for low dose injectables in terms of TRT and other such approaches, they could have long term effects and benefits. No one knows really.

the only thing id be worried about if you are middle aged or over is that recovery of your natural testosterone levels can be more difficult than with someone whos younger.

also depending on the compound bph(benign prostate hypertrophy/hyperplasia) can be a problem, basically it is said that dht(dyhydrotestosterone)can effect the prostate, dht binds well with the receptors in the prostate causing it to grow, which is the problem.

i wouldnt worry about the heart if you are healthy and you are not using excessive amounts and not over prolonged periods.the hbo clip is garbage, from what ive read.

test is broken down very easily by the body so no risk of toxicity.

but to anyone considering them,do your homework, because far too many people(teens especially)jump on gear with out considering the sides of how to actually come off, which is very important.

iresponsable users are often the cause of all the nightmare stories you hear out there.

be safe people.

If used properly for the right reasons with medical guidance, they are as safe as any other medications you may be on.

Oxandrolone is even given to children for some conditions.

Methyltestosterone (a shitty 'roid) is given to women every day as part of an estrogen or progesterone based HRT therapy.

However, if you decide to do a 15 week cycle of A-bombs, you'll need a new liver before you get more than 1/2 way through it.

There are forums that deal exclusively with steroid issues, you'll gather much more information by reading for a few weeks at a few of those than you can pick up here in a few posts.

Know all about what you are doing before you do anything so you can be safe. If you don't, you can be dead.

John Berardi has some great T articles in the Hormones section of his website, he's pretty pro-T, I think because he was a pro-BBer himself, and yeah the horror stories are either from orals, or the man-boobs from too much Est (which can be suppressed with anti-E drugs). All side-effects are apparently reversible as long as use is responsible.

Berardi says that there are less reported problems of use per reported user of T injectables than from asprin.

Remember though that it is illegal, and considered cheating.

Yes it's illegal but can it be called cheating anymore when every pro bb does it? Sadly, it is the norm.

To me, unless you want to be dependant on drugs for your size and strength gains I see little point in wasting the money required. Why not spend at least 5 years, regularly working out so you can find out what you are capable of naturally?

What you should be asking is "are steroids safe for ME to use" Most of the horror stories you hear about 'roids are perpetuated by non-users, who don't know jack sh1t.
I've used 'em and will again - just make sure that you have your workouts & nutrition in check. You should program in your steroid cycle to a year long project, taking into account both pre & post cycle workout methologies.
Do not just "gear-up" for 8 weeks, thinking it will correct past mistakes & set you up for the rest of the year, allowing you to coast.

I would be wary of anything this person claims, if not only from the adverts placed in most of his articles.

My new doc is pretty up to date on endocrinology, and his main point to me about HRT (where you may reach your 20-year old levels, not mega user levels) was that there are no longterm studies done, as the clip showed, and what about hidden cancers? They only test you for PSA screen I assume because 50% of us men have prostate cancer. We just don't DIE of it. He mentioned that you can have all sorts of dormant cancers that would appreciably begin growth with the use of GH (we weren't talking about test), but here again; where are the bodies?
I just think there has to be two arguments when talking about steroids; the use of test or the use of GH, which does all the things test does but also:
• Reduce stress & enhance immune system
• Accelerate healing
• Improve memory & cognitive function
• Speed recovery from exercise
• • Achieve younger, tighter, thicker skin
• Improve kidney and liver function
• Improve sleep
• Lower blood pressure
that is, according to the Rejuvenation Clinic website I copied this from. One thing is for sure: ONE of the steroid types makes the internal organs grow, as evidenced by the megadosing national champs of late, and my cardiologist spoke of enlarged hearts as being weaker hearts, prone to failure.
But where are the bodies?
