I'm familiar with the use of negatives in HIT. 10second reps for 3-4, then as the set gets harder the rep speed decreases to 5/6 seconds and the set is terminated when you can no longer CONTROL the descent of the weight.
This is a very hard and intense way to train and can lead to overtraining quickly if you don't rest enough.
It is a very effective way to train.
Can anyone shine some light on negatives in HST for me?
Do you go to failure (not controling the weight's descent)?
How to chose the weight?#
How many sets?
Cheers
