cats are muscular

My cat just climbed 40 feet straight up a tree with no branches and back down in a few seconds. I gotta figure out what kind of training program she does!

I have always admired the incredible musculature/strength/agility/speed of felines. Anaerobic wonders. I guess it helps that she has a bunch of razor-sharp retractable claws, weighs less than 10 lb.s and has huge lats from walking and sprinting on all fours her whole life...hmm...walking on all fours has got to be good for upperbody.

Sci, are you overtraining?

There was a brilliant article in a recent National Geographic about lions living in an area where they often have to chase their prey through shallow water. The extra exertion required has caused their muscles to hypertrophy much more than a usual lion. They are muscled to hell and look fantastic. Just wouldn't ever want to meet one.

Darn, just had a epiphany. If I want to grow big, I should eat raw meat just like lions (uh oh!) and start running through water at the shallow end of my local swimming pool. Perhaps I could double the effectiveness of this plan by eating raw meat whilst wading? And if I carried and ate more and more meat each session I would benefit from progressive loading too. Awesome!

S.A.I.D. But on an evolutionary scale.

Thank god we are evolved from apes, we have relatively huge lats, because we used to climb trees.

Sci...you have lost it man...hehe.
