Chin up for strength while doing HST?

Is it possible to do the HST routine while trying to do strength training for chin ups? Like... without the progressive load.

Or would that destroy the mass building on other body parts?
 
It's fine.

If I were you, I would try to start adding weight once you can do more than 10 reps with your bodyweight.
 
I would have guessed accosiated synergist muscles, in this case biceps, would have little to no gains from planned progression, when doing frequent heavy lifts?
 
If you are dealing with a lift where strength is so low that you can't even progress, then the load you are using will likely be effective for most of the cycle.
