Flexibility

Hi everyone,

Where can i find a good general flexibility training for the most important part of ure body, i want to increase my flexibility, im one of the most un-flexible person i know its awful, it gives me problem doing squats or deadlifts, and its just not good in life in general. Id like to be able to touch the floor with my hands for example i was never able to do that. How hard is it to gain flexibility ?
Also how flexible should someone be?
 
This may sound ridiculous, but a couple of years ago I made a new year's resolution to increase my flexibility. I couldn't keep my legs straight and touch the floor. What did I do? I took a magic pill called Oxicut Myaflexostretchogen.. okay, that's a lie, but I didn't do much, just did a lot of stretching (5-10 minutes) before I ran everyday, and slowly but surely I added a few inches in my stretches by the end of the year.
 
can you touch the floor now ? hehe
i whish there could be a pill like that streching is so boring and not comfortable it hurts just to think about touching the floor with my leg straight !
what kind of streches did you make ?
The problem with my flexibility is affecting how i can lift i think, for example deadlift arent easy and i cant put much weight squats too... anyways
 
I've been able to touch the floor for a couple of years now. I just did all tons of basic stretches with my legs, and did some jumping where I bent my knees back (that may help with squats)
