High reps for Lactic acid, article

Hi
i've read it stated (HST Methods, http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/hst_II.html), that lactic acid enduced by high-rep training was beneficial for joints and tendons.
I was interested to know why, but looking through the references and searching this site, I was unable to find articles describing it.
Any help?

I really have no idea. Is the Growth Hormone response or something?
