How far do I go with 5x5's?

Getting near to the end of my cycle. I have read some recommend pushing forward into five's and negatives. Could someone elaborate?

if you don't have a training partner to do negatives with continue on with the 5's for two more weeks at your peak. Then move into your strategic deconditioning.
 
If you wish, you could go beyond four or so weeks of fives with 3's if you don't have a partner for negs. (If your joints can handle it) You can do negs alone for pullups and dips, where the legs assist the first half of the lift.
The cycle ends when your body says it does. You'll start to feel like crap all week.
