How much "overlap" between weights is generally ok

For instance, a 190lb 15rm, and a 225lb 10rm, if the increments were set at 10 lbs, The progression would obviously look like:

140 start
150
160

170
180
190 15rm

175
185

195

205
215
225

What is the recommendation here, the two workouts won't make much of a difference? Is there something I can read about this situation?

Duhh, read about it in the FAQs (zig zagging post, increments, and SD all had some info about it), and talked to Aaron on IM.

If you zig-zag.. and in that instance, you don't progress for those two WOs, however you are progressing in that rep range... it shouldn't matter since it is only for two WOs... zig-zagging isn't much of a problem.

if you dont want to zigzag do this
170
170
180
180
190
19015rm
205
205
215
215
225
225 10rm
but as the guys have said there is no problem with zigzaging

:D

I was concerned about zig-zagging on my first cycle but as it turned out I loved it! I felt it gave me an opportunity to slow the reps down a bit and to really feel the weight. Then, after a few further workouts, I had to speed the reps up a bit again as I approached my RMs.

Overall, my first cycle was fantastic - even though it was cut short because my gym closed for the hols. I gained about 25lbs and all my RMs increased by decent amounts. So zig-zagging didn't cause a problem for me.

Cheers,
Lol

good point its something i have done myself in my first cycle, but now feel progressive load does create "a better environment"for hypertrophy so i now make sure i up the weight constantly through the cycle, didnt zigzag in this cycle just went heavier and heavier,i made more size gains plus my strength increased (i got through a weight barrier id been stuck on for a while),i personally think it is a must.
