Lift Selection Template

I put the Lift Selection Template together one evening when trying to balance out what lifts to use for a new program. My interest was seeing what muscles were hit and by how much. I posted it later on because a member asked. There have since been 65 downloads. So, has it been useful? Any suggestions? All feedback is welcome.

Could be useful for competitors. I saw chins as being beneficial for pectoral major though. What's up with that? (in the example sheet) Are these plugged in by the viewers?

They are to be plugged in by the user. The way I made it was simply to plug in the synergists/agonists of each lift from exrx.net to get a ballpark idea of the involvement of less familiar muscles. It also tallys up volume on a lift basis (no sets or reps). This way of counting volume isn't optimal since in compounds volume can be diluted.

Chins activate the pectorals as synergists. They are not a pec building exercise per se, but the pecs do get work from them.

QP, I wasn' able to download it. I tried clicking on the link on your signature but when I downloaded it all I got was a blank spreadsheet.

Over thinking things.  to the extreme.

What spreadsheet application are you using to open the file?

Yeah. That occured to me today. I suppose one need not resolve volume to that extent.
