I dont do squats because ive pulled my lower back playing ice hockey. So i do leg presses instead.

and I dont do anything for my lower back specifically. what can I do?

frivolous, I would do the following sequence of training:

1) give your lower back a good rest.... it needs to heal completely, otherwise it will hit the floor again
2) re-start with un-weighted hyperextensions (no belts)
3) increase little by little the weight during hyperextensions (no belts)
4) start deadlift and increase the weight little by little (no belts)
5) by now, you must have a stronger low back, so you can do squats (with belts on), anyway, you are doing squats for your legs and whole body in general by increasing testosterone level.... you can always have hyperextension and dealifts as your "official" exercises for lower back

Just so you know, I do conventional deads and good mornings a lot, along with rows. This has made my lower back very strong. So maybe if you do all three of those for a while, you'll strengthen it enough to where you can do squats again. But if you do try squats again, start out very light and focus on form.
