Max-stim question

Biception

I read the max-stim document that is available and maybe I missed it. But why is it better to do one set @ 20 reps max-stim style instead of using the same weight but 2 sets at 10 reps?

much less fatigue arising. > the less fatigue, the longer the duration of the cycle, the more weight you can use. Great Stuff, but I use it primarily when I stick to the neckbreaking weights (below RM5).

As an example, imagine your 10 RM of a dumbell curl to be 40 lbs. Using MS, you could (probably) rep that same 40 lbs. more than 10 reps. Knowing this, you could therefore use MORE than 40 lbs., and still get 10 reps in.

Just look at MS as a means to increase load at each level of volume. (ex1. you could do 10 pounds 50 times normally, or 20 pounds 50 times with MS... ex2. you could do 25 pounds 30 times normally, or 35 pounds 30 times with MS). A lot of guys here save MS for the "fives" as a tool to up their load while still maintaining the necessary volume.

This way you can still do 20 reps with your 3RM. It feels great.
