MAX-STIM

Seeking any input from those of you who use/have used Max-Stim as a means of resistance training. I am weighing options for a Master's Thesis and find this to be a rather interesting topic. I am not taking sides on the matter, so not looking for debate, just honest feedback. If I feel it worth pursuing to answer the looming question (using the scientific process of course), "Does it work and does it work better than traditional set/rep schemes?", then I may do a comparison study. Am considering HST vs. HIT style of training as well, so not sure which direction to take. Obviously I need to get funded (unless I can manage to do it for free, which I think I can), so it would be next year before final results would be published (God willing). Thanks for your time and any replies I get. I will post over at Max-Stim when I am able to.

BIZ: That sounds like a great topic for study as does comparing HST & HIT.

I have used Max Stim techniques for a few cycles and continue to do so during the latter phase of 5s but not for all exercises. I think Scientific Muscle has used it much more extensively than most of us here and would give you some great feedback as he keeps logs.

All the best with your plans.

Awesome thesis Biz, ooooh I would like to see how that is structured. Vanilla HST versus Vanilla Max? Each keeping the same work done per week? 3x per week HST clustered to 20 reps versus 3x week Max-Stim?

Its on like Donkey Kong!
