Mixing HST & rock climbing

Gang,

Trying to figure out a schedule to do HST and rock climbing; Trying not to have them step on each other.

  • Do same day?
  • HST Mon, climbing Tues, etc.?
  • Drop climbing - It'll cut into the gym?
 
In theory option 3 is probably optimal if you want to gain as much muscle as possible, but why give up something you enjoy doing? Life is too short! I'd probably train and climb on the same day so that my rest days are kept clear. However, some people find they have better nutritional compliance on the days they do some strenuous physical activity, so you might benefit from training and climbing on separate days.
