pulses

do some of you incorporate pulses in their training?

when? allready when starting 5s or post 5s?

do you do them just for stretch point iso ex. such as curls, triceps etc...or for all kind of isos - such as leg curls?

Sometimes I use pulses as a means to add in some metabolic work, starting with my 5's and continuing during the post-5's. I generally aim for 15-20 pulses, but I will go on until I get a good burn (not too hard with pulses

).

I may use pulses with all kinds of exercises, but especially with lagging bodyparts, as I consider it more of a specialization technique. I don't do them every workout, however, and sometimes I alternate with high rep sets just for the sake of variety.

In my experience, it is one of the best ways to create an intense burn in the target area.

Have used it with success for lagging bodyparts from the 5's onwards.

I only used it as a means of accelarating response for lagging bodyparts, not as a whole in the program.

I'd view that as causing too much metabolic stress bordering on CNS involvement.

That however, is my own opinion and should not influence others if their pattern of thinking is different.

Hope this helps
