question on increments

can they vary in how much you increment?
for example, say my 10 rep max for squats is 135, and im working out twice a week(4 workouts), so id do:

115
120
125
135

is that fine?so like increment by 5lbs and then on the last workout increment by 10lbs, main reason for this is because i dont want to zig zag weights as my 15 rep max was 115.

and if say my dumbell curls 10 rep max is 20, can i do 10,15,17.5,20? or should i do bigger increments?

I seem to have the best luck with 10 lb increments for lower body and 5 lb increments for upper body, but that's just me. I think a larger increment may make it easier for your muscles to respond to the increase.

Don't worry about the 'zig zag'. That's pretty much built into the HST program. It tends to serve as a sort of mini-periodization. It gives your muscles a little rest.
