Hi,

in regards to a reply O&G made I have a question...

I'm used to semi-HIT training (changing hit-schemes with regular higher volume schemes)... Training 5 years now, using hit the last two years.

Currently I'm just off a cutting phase, where off course strength was a tad low. I'm doing three weeks of hst now, just to get the feel of it and to get my maxes straight (which were off when I measured them).

After that I'll SD and start the hst properly.

I plan on doing last workout on friday, and then sd the next week (sat to sunday: 9 days) and then start again on monday.

Would that be enough? (Considering the fact that 9 days doing nothing is hard, and even harder for my training partner who is still sceptic about the whole idea :-)).

Thanx!

Daxie, no one will be able to answer this. Your SD length is going to be what is necessary for you to get an effective stimulus from the lighter weights. For MOST 9 to 14 days is enough, for others it may not. You'll simply have to try it and see if 9 days produces any response in the lighter weights.
