Squats and Deadlifts(too much???)

Are doing squats and deadlifts in one week too much???

I've just started doing deadlifts again (as of a chest injury its one of the few things i can do) for the first time in 5years.

Back then, due to a lack of knowledge, I thought the more the better, but now i'm thinking the two are a bit too much.
That is if I do squats one day, a few days later I can still feel my legs when doing deadlifts (ie i can't do my max deadlift). Add that to the fact that i'm permenantly tired and aching (which I don't mind as long as it's productive).

Any ideas???

I do back squats Monday and Friday and deadlift on Wed. without any problems, I also front squat on Wed. Keep the volume low if you're having too much fatigue. With deadlifts I only do one work set.

I'm also doing olympic lifting Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, there is no problem as long as I don't go too heavy with my cleans on Tuesday. I did last week and it did affect my deadlifts the next day, but only slightly.

Anyway, I'm essentially squatting 6x a week and deadlifting once without any problems. I've done 2x a day MWF squatting in the AM and deadlifing in the PM and still increased in strength and size. I only stopped because it was too fatiguing when the weights got well over 400.

I've been doing both at the same day on the light days. Squat at the beguinning and deads at the end of the workout but only on the lighter days. Tomorrow i'll start my 5's and I will just split them.
