Started HST today for the first time

Hi People,

After SD for 16 days, I started today my first HST cycle.

This 15's thing felt really strange... I will follow the program for sure, but just considering if I should do 2x15 instead of 1x15...

What do you do generally and why? 1x15 or 2x15? What are the reasons for your options?

If I do 2x15, I think I can handle it in terms of time (less than 1 hour) and in terms of avoiding fatigue. Well, at least now with the weights around 50% of 5 RM.
 
I might sometimes do 3 x 15 if I'm only doing a handful of exercises. My advice would be to do 2 x 15 for your main exercise for each body part, if you can get it all in within an hour. My reasoning is that I like to use a certain cadence. I'm not fond of slowing down reps to make then burn more; I'd rather do an extra set or two to really bring on the burn during 15s.

Hmmm, 50% of 5RM at the start of 15s seems a tad low to me. At a guess, you should probably be starting 15s with a load somewhere in the region of 50% of your 1RM. At any rate, by the end of your 15s you should be up to around 60-70% 1RM.
