Tendon injury & exercise selection

Hello. I recently injured a tendon in my ankle which has seriously limited my leg exercise choices (no squats). I know compound exercises are obviously best, but can anyone comment on what hypertrophy results I might get from leg curls and leg extensions for a period of time if using HST principles?

Thanks for any help.

I would advise caution against using heavier than around 10RMs with leg extensions unless you a have a well designed machine. I know my cheap leg extension attachment to my York bench kills me knees when the weights get heavier than 10RM but my knees fare well with better designed machines.

That's a really good point. I didn't think about that. I train at a friends home gym and the leg extension is very basic. The gym machines are definitely better on the knees. thanks.
