Training routine help

Okay so I've been training for about a yr now and made decent gains but they're beginning to slowdown and
I want to start this HST program. But I haven't really taken a break in about the past 3 months, should I take a week off before
starting this program or should I just start it? And also I want to try to split the workout routine into upper body and lower body, is that
a good idea? If anyone else has done it or knows about it, can you suggest what a routine may look like, with exercises.
