Hi I keep doing shrugs I get some growth but my traps don't get taller but they get thicker. What can I do to make them stand up ?

I am recently suffering from a back injury isn't not too bad as I can still do deadlifts but the pain is near my spine should I still do squats and deadlifts ?

The shape of your traps is going to be largely determined by genetics but most problems with shape will go away as they get bigger. On top of shrugs, I would recommend rack pulls as well. I actually prefer rack pulls over shrugs for overall back development, especially the upper traps.
