Two Year Gains

I could not find the thread that I wanted to add this into, so here I am. Most of you know my background. Regardless, here are the #'s before, during, and currently with some slight explanation.

The results...

2/1/05: 215 @ 21% = 170 lbm

(I then went on an extreme cut and lost muscle...)

7/1/05: 181 @ 14% = 156 lbm

(this is when I started HST and slowly bulked..)

9/1/06: 212 @ 12.2% = 186 lbm

(then I gained some fat while having two surgeries and being sick..)

2/1/07: 233 @ 14.8% = 199 lbm

(two days early, big deal..)

All in all, it's about 30 lbs of muscle in 2 years. From my understanding, people can gain up to 15 lbs (or even more?) of muscle per year w/o AAS.

From point A to point B in two years, it looks consistent and accepted. The misleading part is when I compare from when I started HST to now. I then have to explain the huge cut I underwent during that spring and how I gained quickly due to mostly muscle memory and not HST.

However, HST has gave me a net gain of 30 lbs of muscle within 2 years; and that's a fact.

Now it is time for my 2nd cut in as many years...

Thanks for reading,

Well done Colby!

You're a consistent, solid and thoughrough HST'er who keeps tabs on how he grows.

What a stark example.

Nothing extreme. I am keeping it simple unlike last year where I lifted 8x/week (MWF AM/PM split with compunds and TR isolations - the faustonian cycle as I call it!)

Here is my 8th cycle that I started Monday. It will be six weeks - all standard, just no negatives followed by a one week SD. Exercises are listed in order.

3x/week MWF
CG Dips
CG Chins
Calf Raises
Military Press (DB)
Pulley Crunches
Bench Press (DB)
WG Lat Pulldowns

A:B alternated each day

A 3x/2weeks
Deadlifts
Leg Extensions

B 3x/2weeks
Squats
Hyperextensions

Okay, so it does not look simple to most of you, but to me it does. Plus, I need to regain strength I lost during the past few months. It comes out to 9 exercises where I do 1-2 sets of each.

PreWO Shake time!

Later,
Colby

Haha for what?

Also, since I should have slight muscle memory gains along with the strength, I am starting out with an extreme cut for the first two weeks (this and next) of about 750-1000 kilocalories under maintenance.

Afterwards, I will return to 500 kcal/day.

I lost my cheap pair of calipers and the 15% is more of an estimate. However, it may be lower than that as I look at some old pictures. It may be 13-14% at the very highest which is a great thing!

To put on the 20 pounds of muscle that has side stepped me for 20 years.

Your GREAT example, well done.
