What cycle length is best?

When I first looked at HST, Bryan was saying do 2 weeks of 15s, 2 weeks of 10s, 2 weeks of 5s and 2 weeks of negatives. He said skip the 15s if you have no joint problems.

Recently I read of some people extending the cycle, adding an extra week here or there.

What cycle length do you use?

Until you have done a few cycles of normal HST, you should not comtemplate this.

Many of us, extend the 5's instead of the negatives and this can go on until your joints say..."stop we're hurting", or you are feeling overtrained or miserable, etc, tec.

Typical lengths are 12 weeks at most.

as fausto said stick with the basics for atleast one cycle then see what suits you.
i prefer longer cycles like 9wks or 12wks but then i am normally ready for an sd its nice to have a break

12 weeks seems to be good. Most people can draw out their gains for that long without problems.
