decline press

Whats the deal with decline press? Does anyone know if they hooked people up to an EMG and found that it really does work the lower fibers of the chest? What about angle? The more you emphasize the decline, does the fiber recuriment come from lower chest muscles? I've also noticed though as you increase the decline, the ROM gets less, which isn't good. I've had some people tell me decline is a waste of time. Others have told me that chest can be fully worked with all 3 benches (flat - middle chest, incline - upper chest, decline - lower chest).

Feedback, as always, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here we go again with the same old questions...what other people think and how do they feel it.

the most effective training is what feels best for you. It`s doesn`t matter if everybody else says that eg. decline press is no good. If it works for you then use it.

Best results are gained from self knowledge :)

So try it and then make your decision!
