Calories needed to cut.

It all depends on how cut you want to get. Cutting of calories should be gradual to avoid immune shock to your system. How much do you eat now? There are two ways to cut calories really. The first is to eat less, and the second is to do more. Ideally, we eat less and do more since they really should go hand in glove.

To lose weight, multiply your weight in pounds by 10-15 times. This should give you your daily caloric amount for weight loss. Alternatively, you could just cut 200 calories off what you are eating now and see what happens. Keep cutting 200 calories every week until you start losing a pound a week. Meanwhile, continue with your HSTing and if you wish, take evening strolls on your non-workout days.

Don't be tempted to make a severe cut in food intake with a concomitant increase in aerobics. This will sooner make you sick than anything else. If you want, maintain the same food intake, and incorporate those evening strolls. Eventually, turn those strolls into brisk walks...

If the weight doesn't move with that, you could then start cutting some calories.
