hi it's my very 1st post here, so pardon me if i sound stupid. i've been using traditional splits to train my body be it low rep heavy weights or light weights high reps & due to a layoff which included drop in protein, i end up looking like a shrunken doughnut. anyway, i want to try HST & see how it goes.

question is referring to the article above, the BCAA-carb supplement combo to be taken before & after workout... wat type of carbs for before workout with the BCAAA? issit simple carbs like glucose? if yes, won't it cause a sugar rush leaving u drained? (& assuming i ate complex carbs like an hour before the workout) pls advice, thanks.
