    Posture

WrestlingMark, I notice that in another of your posts, you mentioned that you worked out for a couple of years with not a lot of knowledge doing mainly chest and bicep work. Well guess what? I did exactly the same and that is what I blame for my posture problem. I feel a strength imbalance is...

    Quick question

Thanks, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it but in my case I think it has contributed to a rather bad posture. I think bringing my row strength up might help reverse this. Cheers, Jazzer :)

    Quick question

Hi, I'm curious as to what ratios you guys find you get on your maximums for bench press and bent over row. I find I can always get a fair bit more on bench and I don't want to create a problem with muscle imbalance and possible future injury. Jazzer :)

    avg natural potential

Is the max calculated upper arm size with flex or straight? My reading gives 16.4 inches max but my arms are 16 inches flexed now and I'm way under the max lean body weight. TIA, Jazzer :)

Starting HST again after long lay off

Sorry, I probably didn't explain myself very well. I do BB for all exercises apart from reverse flyes for rear delts. What I meant was that I had started to cut out curls and skullcrushers in the 5's when I experienced a bit of joint pain (broke my elbow years ago) and concentrated on compounds...

Starting HST again after long lay off

Hmm, this is very interesting. I have been dropping isolation exercises for arms as I get to the 5's as the muscles start to feel fried and concentrating on the compounds. I have been doing it 'wrong' then? Something learnt for my next cycle in 11 days. Jazzer :)

    Are leg exercises necessary?

Lol, yeh. Some of those guys can't even walk properly. I've got to agree with Rain on the proportion thing. Jazzer :)

    Are leg exercises necessary?

Radical, I have just finished a cycle of only upper body exercises mainly due to not having time (12 hour shifts - ow!) and have got fair gains. No figures sorry, but it definetly shows :) However, I'm sure everyone here would agree that any gains would have been a lot better including legs...

    What I like about HST

I agree with all of this. I don't post much (just don't have much to say :)) but I read a lot. HST and this forum (and freindly members) has got me back into training. Gone are the days of guess training and stupid routines that just left me with sore joints and no gains. I must have tried every...

    Idea...and opinion needed

What my training partner and I have been doing is to use the previous cycles 15's weights as a starting point and keep adding workouts increasing the load until failure on all exercises. We then use 15's maxes with the calculator to find what our 10's should be. We do the same at the end of the...

How Do You Feel After Your Workout?

Its hard to describe really. Mentally I'm wired, feeling very alive and focused. Physically I'm usually trembling and feeling weak but in a good way. Its a bit of a buzz. Jazzer :)

    tired of being embarrassed

Slingblade, I am just starting my 2nd week of 10's on my first HST cycle after a 5 year total layoff from training. I've never been big but I had probably 15.5" arms when I did train. I'm 5'9 with a small frame and I use to look OK. In three weeks on HST I've noticed visible muscle gain...
