Aas And Sarms - Pushing Beyond Natural Genetic Potential

This is something that has always interested me... If someone is at their natural genetic limit (after years and years and years of lifting) and they want to cycle one course of something, will the results stick when they finish the cycle? For someone in their early 40's that wants to give this...

Bryan, What Are Your Thoughts On Higher Frequency Training?

I think this is how I will start out after my current break. I will go high frequency for two weeks and then I will play with doing some drop sets. I only want to specialize like this on one muscle, while the rest of the body I will maintain with regular HST maybe twice a week.

It will be interesting to see what kind of results will happen for advanced lifters that might be nearing their genetic potential with size.

I saw this discussion a while back. Interesting... I feel like adding something like this for fun to see what happens. What was your exact protocol for this? It would be interesting to compare this to the occlusion type training.

    3-6 Months Sd

@Old and Grey In my opinion, I think a 3 month break will do wonders for you and you might be surprised at what the down time will produce when you get back to lifting.

That sounds very high tech. Have you used these? Is there another option for someone who does not have access to such equipment? Home made panty hose wraps :)

Bryan, What Are Your Thoughts On Higher Frequency Training?

Thanks Blade! So it looks like you are working a muscle twice a week? What are your thoughts on frequency for a lagging muscle? On some occasions, I have gone as frequent as training 3X a day (lower volume) for short bursts of 2-3 weeks.

Are we talking using the wraps here, or high reps, short rest and stretching the muscle during the short rest?

I work from home and have a home gym, so I have lots of flexibility. I tend to experiment a lot with frequency and volume.

Bryan, What Are Your Thoughts On Higher Frequency Training?

I don't have any science on this... It is just something that I have played with to see what happens and I think that in my case it helped. What I have done the last few cycles (about a month out from taking a break) is to up frequency on my lagging muscle group to train the specific lagging...

Have You Found Answers To All Your Questions?

I have played with longer SD's and think longer can sometimes help

Bryan, What Are Your Thoughts On Higher Frequency Training?

I agree... However, I have experimented a bit with taking longer and longer breaks from training. In my case, I have found that muscle loss was minimal and I feel that it paid dividends in spurring on new growth. I have experimented with 2 week breaks, 4 week breaks and even did a 6 week break.

    your results with HST...

I believe that I am still making "gainz" after all these years. Hypertrophy really slows down the more advanced you are, but after time you still see progress. Consistency is the key :)
