since losing my job, been down physically with a bad
bout of cough which left me out of e gym for an entire
wk. mentally, been feeling depressed & also not eating
enough trying to save $.

as a result, i'm down from 63 or 64 kg down to 60kg
or 132 ibs.

restarting my cycle with some modifications again
changed some exercises. not looking for tremendous
growth but to get back my lost weight & self esteem.

6 oct 2008 mon
wk 1 day 1 (15s)

1) squats: 120 ibs
2) lying leg curls: 30 ibs
3) standing calf raises: 200 ibs
4) incline bench press: 110 ibs
5) reverse lat pulldown: 60ibs
6) front military press: 75ibs
7) barbell shrugs: 125 ibs
8) alt db curls: 5 kg
9) side lateral raises: 5 kg
10) close grip benchpress: 125 ibs
11) deadlifts: 160ibs
12) rear seated bentover: 5kg

finished within 40 mins. just bam bam & left
due to new temp job location, i'm unable to eat
like last time (have to fine tune my food, can't even
cook, no microwave, all i got is a water cooler) & canteen.

so prob have to drink oats with milkpowder for breakfast
for starters. drank too much milk powder & ended up with
minor diarrhoea despite me being lactose tolerant.

Hang in there, Hotterdog. We all hit rough spots every so often. Just keep your head down and work your way through.

thanks tunnelrat for e encouragement.

went to see chinese senseh over e wkend & he diagnosed that my cough wasn't completely cured & e phlegm kept accumulating & its so much better now after his medication.

still i can't do heavy at all, so opted for 30 mins walk
on treadmill followed by e following

1) squats: 70 ibs x 20 x 2
2) bench press: 70 ibs x 20 x 2
3) seated side laterals: 7.5 kg x 15 x 2
4) bicep curls: 15 kg x 15 x 2
5) skullcrushers: 15kg x 20 x 2

prob i'll just do cardio nxt wkout. priority
is getting my breath back 1st before my strength.

Hey Hotter, seeing you are having to cope with a rotten bill of health right now why not just try a really simplified routine. Sometimes I would just do two or three compound exercises in a session. You can still get great results from doing this and you can decide how much volume you can cope with on any particular day. On a few occasions I have done a workout consisting of a single exercise like deads, squats or cleans. Squat cleans, with a few jerks thrown in for good measure, make for a particularly good workout.

Anyway, hope you feel a lot better soon. You may lose a few battles but I'm sure you'll win the war in the end.
