Bloodsample

Ive decided to take a bloodsample just to check out that everything is allright, most importantly my testolevels, Im suspecting it to be a bit low..

I made my doctor check my testolevel last year, and as I suspected it was on the low-normal side (11.7 n/mmol)(normal is said to be 9-35)
but I didnt test it in the morning or on an empty stomach.

Should I seek out an endocrinologist (doctor who specialises in hormones)? which would take months and months of waiting here in norway

Or is a regular doctor good enough? Ive heard that they may have trouble reading testo-levels, is it any truth to that?

Heres my list of things to test:

Free unbound testosterone
Total Testosterone
E2
FSH
LSH
DHEA-S,
DHT
SHBG
HDL
LDL
Bloodpercentage

Anything I should add to my list?
Is it possible to get HRT on low-normal testo?

Yes, to the last question. You do it through these rejuvenation clinics that are springing up. I'm getting tested this monday myself.
The problem here in the states as I know it is that the average doc will read your results, and if they fall within the normal range (which goes lower the older you are) they give a sweeping "you're fine" evaluation. Look into the clinics and they have (here) doctors in many other states who are HRT trained. So far that's about all I know.

If you are low normal you'll have better luck getting treatment at a "rejuvenation" clinic as previously mentioned or at an "age management" clinic.

Be careful though, some of the age management clinics are just dope shops where the docs hand out scripts for steroids, GH, test, and narcotics because they are near retirement and are looking to make big money while they can. They aren't really very interested in your overall healthcare or the damage they may do to you years down the road. Why should they be, they will be dead from old age long before you get chirrosis and sue them.

I get mine from my personal family practice physician. However, she is a close friend of many years who knows how I used to be and can compare it to how I am now. The test levels were low enough to pinpoint them as the cause of many of my problems...lethargy, moodyness, weight loss, decreasing strength, lessening facial hair, testicular atrophy.

The way I feel now almost makes it worth her frequent shoving her arm up my...

umm never mind. Go on test and you'll feel better but apparently it may put your prostate at some increased risk.

One question, what is an "rejuvenation" clinic?, Im norwegian, never heard of it...

And I dont think an age management clinic would be an option, considering Im only 21.

I doubt you'll qualify. Most men hit Andropause at around 35 at the earliest...you may have another problem and may need a full screen taken. I was told on this board that insulin resistance could be a culprit, a thyroid screen is essential if it's not test that's the problem. (so they tell me.)

Uh, new science has come out that test injections may only be a problem if you allready have prostrate cancer - evidently it doesn't cause it, as some used to think.

You should be more important than an older person. What would be likely is for an investigation to see why it is occur ing at such a young age, isolation of problem testes or pituitary and inveatigation of whats causing it mri etc.

That's exactly the age when I first noted the symptoms.
