Brian recommends a low carb diet whilst taking the EC stack?
How low?

also, splitting it up in to 6 servings every 2 hours makes sense, but then you would have to take a serving before bedtime. Would it not be hard to sleep??

thanks

I'd like that same answer. He stated in the FAQ that keeping it low due to insulin spikes was recommended for best results. He also said that a proper calorie deficiancy would most likely cover that problem and that an atkins diet wasn't necessary. However he never mentioned how many grams constitute too many carbs. So far it hovers around 150 a day when I'm 400-500 cals under mantainence.

You don't have to take a dose before bedtime.

6 servings with 2-hour intervals covers a 12-hour period. Two hours after your last dose, you're at 14 hours. If you go to sleep then, you're still getting 10 hours of sleep. Are you sleeping more than that?

On lowered carbs: Focus on getting your target protein and EFA's. Then use carbs to fill up your calorie target for the day. If you're trying to reduce calories, don't cut the protein or EFA's: cut the carbs.

The result? When you cut calories, you cut carbs. When you cut carbs, you cut calories. If you cut a lot of calories to diet hard, it starts to look like Atkins. Whatever you call it, a rose is a rose is a rose.
